I just wanted to thank everyone for their warm thoughts & prayers over the course of the last couple of weeks.  It feels great to be back home and I don’t think I would have made it without all my friends & family and their support!

Andrea & Stephanie – my sisters in the city, who brought me fried chicken and nail polish and the sweet gel eye mask that scared all the nurses

Stevo – keeping me company by talking about nothing

Aixza & Christina – for bringing rainbow cookies & 5 lb. sour neon crawlers (you know I’ll hoard them!) & having a real conversation on Twilight

Nobu & Tara – SYTYCD recaps (by the way, my knees are back!)

Yas - for keeping me grounded on the important current events, like going on a date with a Mormon (thank you for all the laughs)

Andrea D. – you are amazing, I think you just want to get me fat with macadamia nuts (& thanks for the Hawaii calendar, I will see you on the island soon!)

The Hayes family - the fruit bouquet that kept me smiling, nurses were happy as well! (way more delicious than ice chips); Klesmit, Angel, Chipmunk, & Zach – flowers that brightened up my day; Terry & Erin – sweetest white bouquet, can’t wait to hit the beach with you too soon!; Titi Lucy – beautiful roses that I kept on my rolling table; Robert – I love sunflowers, thank you for the love!; Barbara & Greg – I miss the Antonio’s/Weaver’s, can’t wait to come out to the west coast soon!; The Betsey girls (Tiff, Katelyn, Ashley, Kid Sis, Nobu, Hayley, Rory, Aixza, Agatha, Shama & Daisy) – the most rainbow bright roses, which screamed “Taco Tuesday!!”; The Ghostly crew – sending a more classy bouquet, so happy to be part of the Ghostly family!; Team CF – amazing flight gift card, looking forward to coming back to the new office, it looks huge! (& you should worry PK, you will lose mayorship!)

Chuck, Virge, & Tina – the sibling support, including Matt Damon discussions, 7am wake up calls, and the biggest box of macarons (nurses enjoyed!); The Hayes – the fruit bouquet that kept me smiling, nurses were happy as well!

To the hardworking doctors (especially Dr. Silverman, Dr. Matheson, & Dr. Lubin) the swarms of specialist gangs, plus, the ever caring nurses who poked & prodded,  punched my back for a reaction, & ultimately always ended up wanted a view of my swollen feet! I know in all honesty they wanted a healthy & speedy recovery for me (& any leftover candy).

Thank you to my parents & Mrs. Hayes, for having the patience to wait out until I was ready for the visit.  I am so happy that you were able to come visit us.  We love you!

Lastly, I have the deepest gratitude to my ever loving fiancé Miguel, who has been a trooper through the entire ordeal & there everystep of the way. He endlessly kept me entertained, from dancing in the room and long walks down the ward hallway, to explaining The Wire episodes and eating my macarons while I was napping. Nevertheless, he was constantly watching over me: I am ever so grateful to have someone in my life who was there for me: sleeping on uncomfortable couches, getting all the answers from doctors, and getting me all the fast food & ice chips I wanted.

Miguel, you are truly my guardian angel, thank you for being in my life.
